Creating A Counter

Since we have a lot of counters, you need to try to choose a unique string. Don't worry. If the name you choose is already in use, the web-counter will return an error asking for you to try it again. If you are at a loss, feel free to use your email-address as the counter name.

Please Note: The web-counter will rewrite your counter, replacing some weird non-alphanumeric characters with the underscore _ character. Make sure you note the exact counter that was created as well as the HTML code that was returned after successful creation of your counter. In addition, understand that the case (whether upper or lower) of the characters in the counter name is significant.

Please enter a password in the field below. You should not use your dialup, mail, or other existing password -- you should create a new one. This password will be used to change your Web-Counter settings and update your URL, page title, etc.. Please write down the password you select below. You will have to create a new counter in the future if you manage to forget it.

Starting Count is the number to which you want to initialize your counter. For example, if you have had approximately 100 accesses to your page before creating the counter, then enter 100 here.

However, you should get some response within a minute. If you get an error from your browser saying that the page timed out or if you get no response, please try resubmitting the form at a later time.
